Job Summary

The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining reliable, high-performance IT infrastructure that supports manufacturing operations. This role ensures system availability across servers, networks, virtualization platforms, and databases, while enabling seamless integration between IT systems and industrial technologies (e.g., PLC, MES, automation).

The position also leads infrastructure projects, manages vendors, controls budgets (CAPEX/OPEX), and drives continuous improvement in IT policies, processes, and service management. Additionally, it plays a key role in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and team development to support efficient and stable production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure systems supporting manufacturing operations, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and network infrastructure.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of IT systems supporting production lines and manufacturing applications.
  • Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless networks.
  • Oversee virtual server environments such as VMware and Hyper-V to ensure optimal resource utilization and system stability.
  • Support and maintain database platforms including Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server used by manufacturing systems.
  • Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support integration between IT systems and industrial equipment (PLC, AI inspection systems, MES, etc.).
  • Lead incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues impacting production.
  • Manage IT vendors and service providers for infrastructure-related services and support.
  • Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects related to manufacturing systems, network upgrades, server deployments, and data center improvements.
  • Plan and coordinate project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Support planning and management of IT infrastructure budgets, including both CAPEX and OPEX.
  • Monitor and control operational expenses (OPEX) related to IT infrastructure maintenance, licenses, and support contracts.
  •  Provide coaching to enhance both technical and soft skills within the team
  •  Develop, implement, and improve IT policies and SOPs
  •  Ensure adherence to IT service management processes (Incident, Change, Problem)

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in IT Infrastructure or System Engineering.
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure projects such as server deployment, network upgrades, or data center improvements.
  • Experience in vendor coordination and project implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking devices (Switches, Routers, Wireless).
  • Experience with Allied Telesis network switches is preferred.
  • Able to communicate in English (TOEIC Scores at least 450)

Skills

  • Basic understanding of PLC communication or industrial systems integration.
  • Knowledge of industrial network architecture is an advantage.
  • Experience managing IT infrastructure projects from planning to implementation.
  • Ability to manage project timeline, resources, and risk.
  • Experience supporting IT budget planning and control (CAPEX / OPEX).
  • Ability to evaluate vendor proposals and technical solutions.
  • Experience in team management with strong leadership and coaching skills
