Responsibilities
Engage in enhancing and supporting legal matters for "Bridgestone Group Companies in Thailand" as follows:
- Draft and review legal documents and commercial contracts, including providing useful input to management and business team.
- Monitor and update related laws and regulations in Thailand which concern Bridgestone’s businesses and communicate effectively to relevant departments.
- Provide advice on legal matters, including but not limited to labor law, corporate law, international transactions, etc.
- Provide legal support for corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and divestitures, by assisting with due diligence, contract review, and post-transaction integration.
- Provide administrative and legal support for company secretarial tasks, including the preparation of board meeting materials, drafting of minutes and resolutions, and assistance with statutory filings and corporate record maintenance.
- Develop and implement effective legal & compliance training programs to targeted employees.
- Draft, review, and implement compliance policies, SOP (Standard Operating Procedure), or announcements relating to legal & compliance.
- Conduct and manage workplace investigation involving issues such as bribery, fraud, kickbacks, conflict of interest, and harassment.
- Participate with management in investigation, negotiation, reconcilement and judgment in legal dispute issues.
- Investigate the cause of the litigation, monitor and coordinate with external legal counsels in the court proceedings.
- Coordinate with Regional Head Quarter on legal matters and related initiatives.
- Other tasks may be reasonably assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law.
- At least 5 years of experience in corporate legal field or law firm.
- Excellent command in English (minimum TOEIC Scores 870 for Listening and Reading). A candidate will be required to take the Global English Assessment Test (STEP+) via an online platform, at Bridgestone’s cost, and require scoring at least 1,065 on the STEP+.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be a good team player with analytical thinking.
- Strong collaborative skills to lead and working in a cross-functional environment.
- Be able to travel for domestic and overseas business trips.
- Have obtained a driving license.
- Good computer literacy (MS - Word, MS - PowerPoint etc.).
