We Are Hiring: Senior Electrical Safety Engineer

Bridgestone Asia Pacific (Thailand) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Safety Engineer to lead and elevate our regional electrical safety standards. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical systems across BSAPIC plants, driving technical excellence, and reinforcing disaster‑prevention capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Risk Assessment & Technical Support

• Perform electrical risk assessments and define effective risk controls.

• Provide expert engineering consultation and support to plant electrical teams across the region.

• Review electrical designs for expansion, modification, and solar rooftop projects to ensure compliance with local regulations, BS standards, and IEC/ISO standards.

• Lead electrical protection, coordination, and arc‑flash analysis to ensure system reliability.

• Validate and audit electrical system maintenance performance and ensure continuous improvement.

Accident Investigation & Prevention

• Conduct root‑cause analysis for electrical and DP-related incidents.

• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.

• Drive technology introduction and improvement initiatives across BSAPIC plants.

Electrical Safety Management & Standardization

• Develop and implement electrical safety standards, systems, and programs.

• Promote safety culture using PDCA methodology.

Knowledge & Skill Development

• Strengthen the knowledge, competencies, and technical capabilities of electrical engineers across the region.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Power Electrical Engineering

• Professional Electrical Engineer license or equivalent national certification

Experience:

• 5–10 years in high‑voltage electrical systems (design, installation, commissioning, maintenance)

Technical Skills:

• High‑voltage systems, Solar PV systems

• Protection & coordination assessment

• ETAP analysis

• Condition monitoring (Thermography, Vibration, Partial Discharge)

• Arc‑flash/arc‑blast analysis (advantage)

• Familiarity with IEC/ISO/IEEE standards such as IEC 62271, IEC 60364, IEC 61508, IEEE 1584

Leadership & Communication:

• Experience working with multinational teams

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

• Auditor, instructor, or consulting experience is an advantage

Language:

• Proficiency in English is required

Work Authorization:

• Employment requires valid work authorization in Thailand (e.g., visa or employment permit, if applicable)
