Job Summary
Job purpose:
Logistics and Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing end-to-end logistics operations through 3PL partners, while also coordinating ordering activities with Supply Planning to ensure product availability. The role ensures cost efficiency, service excellence, and alignment with key business KPIs, including Inventory Health, Inventory Level, OTIF (On-Time In-Full), and Cost to Serve.
Indirect Procurement: Oversee sourcing of non-production goods and services supporting business operations. Ensure cost efficiency, supplier performance, and delivery of required quality and value. This role also captures logistics market intelligence to support commercial strategy, particularly for the truck tire segment, and provides insights to top management.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities (Summarized)
- 3PL & Logistics Management: Manage inbound/outbound logistics, optimize transportation and warehousing, monitor 3PL performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ordering & Supply Coordination: Translate demand plans into timely orders, monitor supply pipeline, manage risks, and align ordering with inventory targets.
- Inventory & Warehouse Management: Optimize inventory across all locations, improve inventory health, and ensure stock accuracy.
- Customer Service: Ensure high OTIF performance and efficient order fulfillment for dealers and OEMs.
- Cost & Budget Control: Manage logistics budgets, analyze cost to serve, and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
- Market Intelligence: Capture logistics market insights and provide strategic input to management.
- KPI & Performance Management: Own logistics KPIs, analyze gaps, and drive corrective actions.
- Process Improvement & Digitalization: Improve processes and leverage ERP, automation, and logistics systems.
- Compliance, Safety & Sustainability: Ensure policy compliance, safety standards, and sustainable logistics practices.
- Regional Coordination & Reporting: Align with regional strategies and support regional initiatives.
- Procurement Leadership: Lead the Indirect Procurement team, ensuring performance, compliance, and effective decision‑making.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics/ Finance, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of experience in logistics/ supply chain management, preferably in automotive industry
Minimum 3 years in a managerial role
