About the Role
Are you a commercially astute leader with a genuine talent for working through people to deliver results? This is a significant state-level role overseeing Queensland, Bridgestone’s largest franchise network in the country. As State Retail Operations Manager, you’ll be accountable for a sizeable P&L and lead a team of five direct reports.
Your focus will be on driving profitability and performance across the Queensland equity and franchise store network, working closely with franchisees and internal Bridgestone staff to build business plans and keeping them on track to hit their targets. You’ll also be stepping into a network with real momentum, with a significant change initiative on the horizon and the ability to land transformation through people, rather than just impose it, will set you apart. This is a field-based role with regular store visits across Queensland and some regional travel. When you’re not on the road, you’ll be based out of the Lytton state office with your team.
About You
You’re a senior operational leader who’s comfortable owning a significant P&L and getting results through the people around you. You’ve led through direct reports in a multi-site environment and know how to manage the relationship between performance data and real conversations on the ground. Automotive or tyre industry experience is a genuine advantage, but we’re equally interested in people who’ve come from broader franchise networks or Commercial fleet operations. To succeed in this role, you’ll also bring:
- Strong Commercial & Strategic Acumen: You own a significant P&L and know how to translate performance data into actions that actually move the needle
- Multi‑Site Operational Expertise: You’ve led large, geographically dispersed networks, whether through franchise, retail, or service operations, and you know how to maintain standards and drive performance at scale
- Customer Experience Leadership: You know how to use customer satisfaction data to hold the network accountable and identify where the real opportunities are
- Exceptional Coaching & Relationship Skills: You can manage up, manage across, and manage through — franchisees, direct reports and senior stakeholders all respond to you because you’re credible, transparent and invested in their success
Strong Compliance, Safety & Execution Discipline: You take safety seriously as a cultural expectation, not just a compliance requirement, and you hold the network to the same standard.
