Job Summary
Reporting to LSCM Manager, Malaysia and Singapore, the incumbent will support logistics and inbound operations, working closely with 3PL partners to ensure delivery efficiency, accurate inventory management, and timely issue resolution across warehousing and transportation. This role will also provide back-up support for order processing, manage customer inquiries, and ensure a high standard of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Supply Planning & Operations
- Liaise with Sales Team in planning and forecasting the incoming shipment.
- Consolidate the forecast from sales team, and get sign-off for production planning
- Liaise with the Regional Supply Team and factories for supply confirmation to ensure timely arrival of goods.
- Coordinate with 3PL warehouse for shipment arrival from factories (Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, Europe and US) and ensure timely upload system.
- Monitor stock in-transit and maintain accurate shipment tracking database.
- Update Sales Team regularly on incoming shipment status.
- Coordinate with relevant functions and 3PL to resolve delivery issues, cargo damage, claims, discrepancies and complaints, including handle loss or damage and return goods.
- Coordinate and align with Sales Team in making trucking and delivery arrangements
- Align Good-in-Transit recognition with Finance prior to month-end closing.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Inventory Management
- Liaise with 3PL to ensure inventory accuracy, good inventory control and management per KPIs set.
- Conduct weekly stock reconciliation against 3PL inventory reports.
- Coordinate with technical team and 3PLs on damaged stock and scrap activities
- Prepare weekly and monthly DOT aging reports for Sales/Finance/Business Planning.
- Monitor, highlight and review KPIs of the service providers against SLAs.
- Analyze and evaluate 3PL performance to ensure cost optimization and operational effectiveness.
Process Improvement
- Identify, propose, and track improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, cost control, and 3PL performance.
Outbound (Sales & Delivery Processing):
- Act as the operational back-up role to support customers inquiries as required; provide delivery status updates and resolve logistics or order-related issues promptly.
- Coordinate order processing with customers and 3PL warehouse, including delivery arrangement, billing accuracy and timeliness to customers.
- Verify sales order discount details to ensure compliance with pricing and promotional policies.
- Prepare daily sales performance reports for management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
- 5-8 years’ relevant experience in end-to-end supply planning and logistics operations. Proven track records and exposure to logistics methodologies, terminologies, and intermediary trade processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to meet operational timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, independent, and accountable with high level of maturity.
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English. Proficiency in other language(s) would have added advantage.
