Job Summary
The Head of Legal & Compliance in Bridgestone Indonesia plays a leading role in providing legal, compliance and enterprise risk management ("ERM") leadership and oversight across Bridgestone Tire and Diversified Businesses in Indonesia.
This role shall ensure the delivery of proactive, in-depth, business-focused advice and support to the business, as well as implementing initiatives and processes in order to set standards and reinforce a culture of integrity and ethical behavior across the businesses.
Responsibilities

Set and lead legal, compliance, and ERM strategy in alignment with business objectives and regional/global direction.

Act as trusted advisor to senior management, providing clear, business-focused legal guidance on complex and high-impact matters.

Oversee commercial legal matters, including major contracts, transactions, disputes, litigation, and management of external counsel.

Lead labor & industrial relations legal support, including disputes, negotiations, and collaboration with HR-ER on sensitive cases.

Design, implement, and monitor compliance, ethics, and enterprise risk management frameworks, including governance, crisis management, and business continuity.

Handle corporate secretarial and governance matters, including Board/GMS meetings, regulatory compliance, authority schedules, and committee governance (GRC).

Provide legal & compliance leadership across diversified businesses (manufacturing, plantation, mining solutions), ensuring consistency of policies, processes, and risk controls.

Lead and develop the Legal & Compliance team, manage budget, build capabilities, and drive a strong culture of integrity and performance.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Law (S.H.); Master’s degree in Law or related discipline is an advantage.

Licensed Advocate in Indonesia (PERADI or equivalent) preferred.

Minimum 12–15 years of progressive legal experience, with combined exposure in top-tier law firms and in-house corporate legal roles.

Proven experience in a senior legal leadership role with decision-making authority.

Demonstrated experience advising C-suite and/or Board level stakeholders.

Strong background in manufacturing, industrial, plantation, mining, or other asset-heavy businesses.

Deep expertise in commercial contracts (drafting, negotiation, risk structuring).

Strong working knowledge of Indonesian labor & employment law and industrial relations.

Solid experience in dispute resolution and litigation management.

Familiarity with corporate secretarial matters, governance, and regulatory filings.

Understanding of intellectual property and business licensing is an advantage.
