Job Summary

The role requires both strategic planning skills, as well as excellent executing skills to deliver the targeted results.

The incumbent will play a vital role in planning and managing sales strategy, various action plan/ tactics (with focus on premium tire)  for  each distributor market in a manner that each market optimizes market share growth and achieve “Dan-Totsu” status, consistently navigate, monitor and support distributors to achieve outstanding performance to hit budget in revenue and profit, and result in contributing to Region mission and goal.

 

The role will also lead and develop Distributor Sales team.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Strategic Planning, Strategy Development (with focus on Premium tire), and reporting to head of DS sales, and Region Functional Heads

  • Analyze current market / industry trends and formulate strategies involving business partners (distributor / trading house) for possible expansion that could contribute to the growth of the organization.
  • Perform the formulation of semi-annual budget and annual rolling MTP in terms of sales, price and expenses planning.
  • Plan and direct the team’s activities to achieve short-term and long-term targets and set standards (KPI) for business performance.
  • Identify and develop the implementation of business strategies.
  • To define and manage price, resources and operating budgets, and profitability.

 

Relationship and Team Management

  • Develop and maintain effective strategic relationships with distributors / trading houses.
  • Develop good and effective relationships with internal other departments / organizations to obtain support and utilize resources to contribute to sales in distributor markets.

 

Operational Management

  • Ensure sales process alignment of pricing, logistic delivery, customer service, legal and finance departments through the regular sharing of best practices.
  • To provide reporting to management on the business performance by market, and always prepare for multiple countermeasures to ensure achieving targets.
  • Deep dive into local markets for channel developments/fleet approach by working with respective distributors/local sales team with aligned sales strategy.

 

Compliance & Others

  • To monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations for all responsible markets but also those affected by the parent company and generally assisting with the resolution of related compliance problems.
  • To work for periodical auditing for internal and external and formulate and perform the improvement plan as required.

 

Team Management and Development

  • Lead and motivate DS sales team to achieve business goals.
  • Ongoing mentoring and reviewing the progress of team’s capability development, guide the team in strengthening their competencies and the ability to resolve issues from multiple perspectives.
  • Design and support to expand internal (DS team) and external (Distributors)  sales team capability development based on the needs of the individual and team as a whole, through training programs and business project managements.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business / Marketing / Management or equivalent professional qualification
  • At least 10 years or more relevant working experience, preferably within a manufacturing/auto industry

 

Candidate should demonstrate:

  • Ability to motivate / lead / manage / supervise a team and share skills and knowledge with others.
  • Good analytical, communication, interpersonal and management skills
  • Knowledge of accounting standards, financial principles, marketing and management strategy.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information
  • Ability to building relationships with senior executives or business owners.
  • Experienced in business process controls and working within internal cross functional networks.
  • Possess strong planning skills and ability to execute in practice.
  • Ability to commit to overseas travel and attend out-of-hours events.
  • Able to understand basic business knowledge like financials of P&L and B/S.
