Job Summary
A Safety Engineer Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines. They advise on safety measures, conduct risk assessments, and enforce preventative measures. Their role involves promoting a safe workplace, providing training, and investigating incidents to improve overall safety.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and apply knowledge of current health and safety policies, regulations, and production processes.
- Review plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment to ensure they meet safety requirements.
- Identify and rectify potential hazards by inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of various industrial control mechanisms.
- Install safety devices on machinery or oversee the installation of these devices.
- Plan and implement employee safety programs and recommend improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in the manufacturing field is necessary.
- A TOEIC score of at least 550 is mandatory.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Special consideration will be given to candidates with expertise in Tableau or Power BI and Python.
