Job Summary

Reporting to Senior Manager, Sales Planning & Operations (Bridgestone China & Asia Pacific), the incumbent of this regional position will be responsible in delivering and analyzing the monthly and quarterly sales reports for the regional head office as well as supporting on the business planning and forecasting efforts. This role also supports the efficiency and effectiveness of sales performance by creating, evaluating, and optimizing data sets and sales tools.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Performance Improvement: Works with Asia Pacific leadership team on development of dashboards, identification of performance improvements, development of sales effectiveness metrics and provide proposals for sales tracking improvements.
  • Sales Reporting & Business Analytics: Consolidate & validate regional sales reports; define, track and report sales performance metrics and trends. Convert data to insights and provide visualization and analysis of performance data.
  • Forecasting: Work closely with country sales teams to collect and consolidate sales forecast. Provide trend reviews and challenge assumptions. Manage & improve forecasting process and tools for sales business units.
  • Planning: Support the budgeting and planning process for sales and marketing functions. Ensure data integrity and perform checks and reconciliation to ensure budget submitted are in line with expectations. Provide first line of support on budgeting queries.
  • Country engagement: Regular engagement with the countries to understand the key drivers of performance and gaps, identify action plans, and to escalate relevant issues to management for discussion.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Work with different functions (supply chain, finance, corporate planning, etc) to share and consolidate data to provide a holistic picture of business performance in assist senior management in their business discussions.
  • Sales support: Support sales related discussions to facilitate improvement in sales process and performance.

Requirements

  • Degree holder with at least 6 years of related experience in business/commercial analysis or sales reporting and KPI tracking.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, mathematical, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and navigate through occasional ambiguity with strong sense of responsibility to deliver within the given deadline.
  • Proven strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and ability to perform data conversion efficiently to achieve the desired output.
  • Ability to convert data to insights in easy-to-understand visualization.
  • Demonstrate business acumen, project management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and respond to changing needs. Keen eye for details.
  • An understanding of finance or accounting principles will be helpful
  • Knowledge in data analytics tools like Tableau and ability to use VBA to improve reporting processes will have added advantageous.
