Job Summary

Reporting to Product Planning Lead (Bridgestone China & Asia Pacific), this role is a regional HQ position that contributes the product management team in the implementation of product lifecycle plans, product design, and new product introduction processes. This role also supports testing of our performance tires and analyzes market/ competitor trends.

Responsibilities

  • Product Portfolio/ Lifecycle: Manage of life cycle plan for assigned product segment, from current/ future needs to sunset.
  • Product Design: Manage the development and testing of products for assigned product segment. Conduct Field tests/ Proving ground tests to determine product performance/ benchmarks with relevant stakeholders (Tire design, Field Engineer, etc.).
  • Product Introduction Process: Manage the development cycle for new products for assigned product segment, from conceptualization to product launch.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor and analyze market trends and competitors to make sure products stay competitive. Support research work required to determine customer needs and performance targets in order to develop new products.
  • Marketing Support: Support marketing team with insights & field tests for promoting products, key features & market positioning.
  • On-site field assessment: Conduct scrap tire survey and site/ customer assessment to understand requirements for products.
  • Training: Prepare materials and conduct product training to distributors/ sales team in assigned product segment.

Requirements

  • Degree in business, engineering or its equivalent professional qualification.
  • At least 3 years of current/ previous experience in technical selling, product design or product management field will be preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical & critical thinking.
  • Demonstrates potential for development into product management lead roles.
