Job Summary

Assignment involves work of a confidential and/or complex nature, exposure to sensitive information and contacts requiring considerable discretion, judgment, tact and diplomacy.

The incumbent will manage the Executives’ (specifically the Bridgestone China & Asia Pacific (BSCAP) CEO and VP, Legal & Compliance) calendars, schedules, reports, agendas, correspondence and memoranda.


  • Work with Executives on operational issues and high-level projects, which contain confidential information such as transformation projects, restructuring initiatives and corporate agenda initiatives and matters for the Board where discretion and confidentiality are critical. On request will attend meetings on these projects as Executives’ representative to provide Executives with timely update of the situation. Helps Executives with the follow up process of the ongoing projects to keep them on track.
  • Coordinates and keep high-level presentations and speeches (and notes from) internal meetings, off-site conferences, board meetings, etc. where discretion and confidentiality are critical. 
  • Makes independent determinations as to priority and timing of response or follow up. Solves issues directly or redirects calls if needed. Assures appropriate follow up regarding questions/issues that may arise, exercising sound judgment with a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity.
  • Manages the Executives’ calendars & schedules, ensuring accuracy and timely input. Provides agendas and meeting materials as needed.
  • Assist the VP, Legal & Compliance with budget planning, monitoring, cross charging and internal financial reporting requirements.
  • Working with external company secretarial organization as well as regional group companies to ensure the proper documentation and preparation of BOD minutes and agenda.
  • Organize for the board of directors and committee members, agendas, meeting venue and schedule board meetings and executive meetings and help facilitate at these meetings.
  • Coordinates travel arrangements and processes expenses for the Executives.
  • Manage/assist in the VIP visit arrangements, logistic arrangements of regional meetings, trainings and workshops – hotel, transportation, visa application etc.
  • Will collaborate closely with the Regional Compliance Lead in leading the design, implementation and maintenance of the risk management framework within BSCAP and in alignment with the respective Group Companies (GCs). This includes developing and maintaining detailed risk management policies and processes and working with key business stakeholders to facilitate the embedding of these across the BSCAP RHO and various GCs. The incumbent will also be responsible for the ongoing review and challenge of risk framework effectiveness and the implementation of risk management best practice.
  • Is the key point of contact for reporting to the BSCAP Executive Committees and the Board, on ad hoc incident reporting and for the escalation of significant risk events to the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Committee.
  • Primary / first point of contact for GCs for significant incidents or risk events, including EAR and business continuity plans (BCPs).
  • Lead the design, development, documentation, communication and implementation of the BSCAP risk management framework.
  • Maintain Risk Registers as an outcome of the Risk Assessment process and monitor the action plans agreed with Senior Management.
  • Review, assess and report significant risks and issues identified or reported by the business in line with the incident management process and assist the business in defining and agreeing remedial action.
  • The incumbent will be working in a variety of areas including: Business continuity · Corporate governance · Enterprise/Operational risk · Information and security risk · Market and credit risk · Regulatory and legal risk · Technology risk to identify and help manage risks affecting the organization.
  • Prepare risk evaluation reports in an appropriate way for the various company stakeholders.


  • Bachelor’s degree in law, accountancy, finance or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in managing regional work in a large MNC within Asia Pacific.
  • Experience in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Risk Analysis, Internal Audit, either with a Big 4 Public Accounting Firm, or a large MNC with global / regional scope will be highly desired.
  • Experience in supporting C-Suite level Executives with a high degree of discretion, confidentiality, professionalism, and exceptional attention to detail will be highly desired.
