Manager, Business Controlling

Job Summary

The job incumbent will provide modeling and analytical support on a range of activities and high-profile projects. The role involves data gathering, modeling building and maintenance as well as collaboration and coordination across various stakeholders, requiring strong focus on accuracy, continuous improvement and high-quality results. He/she is also responsible for constructing and consolidating the capital expenditure and fixed assets for Bridgestone China & Asia Pacific (BSCAP).

Responsibilities

• Works in partnership with the business unit leaders (e.g. Regional Leadership Team, Managing Director and Functional Heads in Group Companies in APAC region) and the Finance Leadership Team to develop metrics and KPIs to track strategic projects performance and value creation.
• Analyze financial information and reports, and provide accurate timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
• Build financial models with scenario planning and advanced forecasting that provide insight into strategic initiatives and operational and financial trends.
• Create dashboards highlighting key financial and operational metrics.
• Monitoring of key performance indicators and ensure integrity and accuracy in monthly financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial and operations performance analysis
• Support business units or the enterprise in preparing the annual capital budget OB / MBP formulation.
• Assist in development of capex project financials including cash flows, NPV, IRR, and ROI analyses.
• Provide variance analysis of actual vs forecast capital expenditures.
• Produces in-depth analyses for review by management with recommendations and enhanced insight that will influence overall business decision making.
• Provides Merger and Acquisition projects support evaluating opportunities for expanding into new markets, making acquisitions or divesting, including analysis of financial statements and performing due diligence.
• Operates as part of a larger team and in managing their own work.
• Maintains strong interactive relationships with internal customers by listening, clarifying and responding effectively.
• Take on any other project assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field in Data Analytic will be preferred.
• At least 8 years of relevant Finance experience with APAC exposure, in-depth knowledge of Cloud-based ERP (e.g., SAP Project and Portfolio Management solution) and digital technologies and operating in a performance / results-oriented culture.
• Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and business acumen.
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking ability.
• An eye towards continuous process improvement, including the ability to innovate and simplify both finance and operational processes.
• Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly present recommendations and summarize complex issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills required.
• Works well on a team but can also manage work individually.
