Job Summary

The incumbent will play a vital role in executing the full cycle of Raw material Procurement, including the negotiating and allocation of raw materials considering the supply chain optimization for each Group Companies(GCs), managing and enhancing the relationship with suppliers, deployment of sustainable procurement policy for Asia Pacific region.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

 

Procurement strategy planning and decision making support

  • Monitor and analysis for Raw material Market, and support the decision making in Procurement by proposing forecast scenario based on data analysis
  • Attend global and regional conference and/or seminars based on indication from superior

 

Manage buyer operations with strategic approach

  • Negotiate and allocate Raw material requirements, and compliance monitoring
  • Inform contracted price and volume with each GCs timely.
  • Promote Bridgestone's procurement policy to suppliers
  • Reduce and control Raw material cost by identify and realize supply chain optimization opportunities though partnership enhancement with suppliers
  • Manage and control the Raw material volume to secure and realize stable supply (including volume forecast, contract volume management)
  • Further improve BSCAP Procurement operation for all Raw material (Identify and resolve any issues related to quality, cost, and delivery to minimize the risk of interrupted supply)
  • Enhance Raw material BCP through sourcing flexibility improvement such as approved source expansion, elimination of constrain on Raw material supply chain, etc.

 

GCs purchasing activities support and improvement

  • Support to make each GCs’ Raw material budget and monthly forecast by providing price indication based on global assumptions
  • Propose ideas and support executions to each GCs for GCs’ purchasing operation and cost improvement
  • Provide support for enhancement of GCs’ purchasing foundation by planning, proposing, and executing actions based on not only short-term but also mid/long-term procurement strategies such as BCP enhancement or level up of CSR/Sustainability/compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain / Procurement / Business Management or its equivalent discipline with at least 3-5 years or more relevant experience in procurement buyer operations and/or sourcing.
  • Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in end-to-end Procurement processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Prior experience or exposure in Procurement operations in a manufacturing environment within the Asia Pacific region or globally would have added advantageous.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage competing priorities and solve problems independently to meet goal/deadline in a fast-pace working environment.
  • Good multi-task management skills and serves as a change agent to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to collaborate and effectively work in teams, and with people from different cultures and levels.
  • Good people management, influencing and negotiation skills. Strong presentation and communication skills. Ability to build relationships across the organization and all geographic regions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken; any other language is a plus as this role would require to interact with various stakeholders across Asia Pacific region.
