Job Summary

Reporting to Head of Marketing (Bridgestone China & Asia Pacific), this is a regional HQ leadership position that drives high level of collaboration with various internal stakeholders to develop and manage sales and marketing initiatives as well as strategic plan to achieve business goals and objectives. The role will be vital in ensuring profitability & performance of the Bridgestone tire business in the China & Asia Pacific region.


This role will be responsible for leading the Sales Planning & Pricing team to provide insightful business and financial analysis of sales performance, support pricing improvements, and coordinate sales reporting.


  • Sales Planning Management: Oversee the operations of the overall department (including pricing and sales planning) to drive focus & plans across the region on improving profitability, aligning data/ performance indicators, and meeting business targets. Create framework/ approaches to determine whether plans are met or should be modified.
  • Pricing Management: Steward the pricing team towards expanding good revenue and pricing management practices by continuously developing regional-wide pricing discipline, policies, metrics and tools.
  • PDCA Management: Engage with country leadership regularly to closely monitor and track targets, identify gaps, develop strategies and corrective actions, and provide relevant visibility to senior management to ensure focus on target achievement.
  • Sales Planning Strategy: Strategic sales planning with group companies to ensure sales targets, profitability & market share are achieved. Create structure & visibility on both short- and long-term plans; and create objective frameworks to accurately gauge the implementation.
  • Performance Management: Develop and align key performance indicators & dashboards for GC performance and all sales & marketing related activities (e.g. forecast accuracy, channel and product profitability)
  • Data Management: Align internal stakeholders on systems & approach to "single source of truth" on key performance indicators like volume, margins, market share & net profitability.
  • Business Prioritization: Develop and deploy business priorities in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Reporting & Monitoring: Ensure timely submission of sales forecasts and follow through on key regional initiatives
  • Supervisory: Manage 5 direct reports


  • Bachelor Degree in business management, finance or related field, with more than 12 years working experience in consumer goods, electronics, automotive or oil/ gas industries
  • At least 12 years of current/ previous experience in leading sales reporting, business planning and pricing management across Asia Pacific region will be preferred
  • Exhibits understanding of the various markets in China and Asia Pacific region
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in managing pricing processes and product price positioning
  • Demonstrates business acumen and negotiation skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and respond to changing needs. Keen eye for details and strong disposition for structure
  • Demonstrates success & passion for driving change and/or making significant contributions to the business (especially in areas such as process efficiency, performance management or opportunity visualization)
  • Experience in people management


  • Applying product/ brand positioning and customer segmentation to sales & marketing strategies
  • Translating vision & goals into sales & marketing plans
  • Developing and defining KPIs and dashboards for performance management
  • Coordinating sales and marketing teams to develop long & short term plans and priorities
  • Understanding the impact of costs & pricing on profit margins; and evaluating accounting drivers like OPEX, allocations, forex and taxation on P&L performance
  • Developing/ defining data framework and working with large datasets to generate analysis & insights for performance management and forecasting
  • Recognizing impacts of market trends and head/ tailwinds on business performance
