Job Summary

As part of the core HR team, the Senior Talent Management Manager uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to develop and implement talent management strategies for the company; by working with Country COEs and plant HRMs in leading in country multi-plants/ multi-sites Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Learning and Development teams. 

 

The successful incumbent will lead multiple projects with potentially significant scope and business impact works with a team, often in a matrix, on challenging assignments that are broad in nature while working with plant HRMs to deliver business needs as the foundation of putting in place a consistent talent management processes. The incumbent will lead the deployment of countrywide initiatives, new processes and framework to assist countrywide successful delivery for HRs to identify talent, accelerate their development and to create an inspiring working environment to meet current and future talent demands. Collaborating with plant HRMs, the incumbent will develop and support the end to end HR processes to attract, develop and engage talent; with the aim to drive consistency and simplification through toolkits for Managers and Employees’ communication materials countrywide. 

Responsibilities

Talent Attraction and Employer Branding

  • Champion the development and implementation of China Recruiting Strategy for Bridgestone, defining the accountabilities, process and timelines for execution in support of China business and staffing needs;
  • Develop a recruitment and channel strategy that cost effectively delivers sources for drawing a strong candidate pool
  • Champion Employer Branding, develop framework to support local country to cultivate employer branding awareness
  • Execute a professional and brand enhancing candidate experience through all recruitment and selection cycle touch-points that embody the values and brand of the company and put diversity front of mind in delivering against our workforce plan
  • Act as a brand ambassador for promoting the employee value proposition and inspiring candidates to apply for positions and accept opportunities
  • Lead the development and implementation of China Hiring & Selection policies and processes related to sourcing, recruiting, selection and on-boarding
  • Gain market intelligence including an understanding of talent landscape and advise business on talent market when needed
  • Develop and cultivate candidate talent pipelines through sourcing channels, recruitment campaigns (framework), professional social media and referrals to meet current and future hiring demands

 

Talent Acquisition

  • Process lead for Talent Acquisition, recruitment and selection
  • Manage the full recruitment life-cycle from initial candidate assessment to conducting interviews and offer management (jointly with applicable stakeholders)
  • Manage China recruiting resources to defined performance goals and outcomes: ensure efficient process development and consistent execution for sourcing, recruiting, talent pipeline development, selection and the on-boarding framework and processes; ensure the quality of product and service delivery of the recruiting team to the hiring managers, HR, business management and candidate experience
  • Evaluate, review and lead the recruitment spend analysis across China
  • Drive continuous improvements for optimal candidate and hiring manager experience

 

Learning & Talent Development

  • Support China’s learning agendas. Broadly; plan, manage and execute China’s annual learning roadmap to ensure that the organization has a robust development portfolio aim at leveling up the organization’s overall capabilities;
  • Support the planning, project management, organizing, liaising with vendors, established consultants to fulfill learning agendas
  • Provide regular reports, updates and guidance to HR team
  • Collaborate with business and various plant HRMs to drive the learning culture for China
  • Identify the organisational needs to develop organisational and people capabilities through in-house and externally facilitated programs
  • Support the development of competency model to the organisational development needs and prioritise developmental needs
  • Support the adoption of learning strategy and tools (learning management system) 

Requirements

  • Master Degree in Organisation Development, Human Resource Management or related field
  • Minimum 15 years’ experiencein following disciplines: Talent Management, Organisation and Development/ Learning & Development, HR advisory, Workforce Strategy and Succession Planning
  • Possess strengths in structured problem solving, good judgment, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Strong critical thinking to identify interdependencies between issues, data, and outcomes; clear understanding of how moving pieces come together to build the big picture
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and demonstrate resilience and strong commitment towards project and continuous process improvements
  • Ability to communicate ideas, strategies and concepts in clear, compelling and credible ways to stakeholders at all levels
  • Good communication skills and comfortable to build relationships with leaders, managers and HRBPs across the organisation with a capability to influence, collaborate, and build consensus
  • Strong verbal and business writing skills, including experience with design and presentation tools
  • Collaborative working style - ability to develop strong relationships with peers and teams across all levels
  • Demonstrated, strong ability to influence others and gain buy in from stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand data, draw correlations and tell a story to move others to action
  • Good project management skills with ability to deliver on time and on budget.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, flexible and managing uncertainty
  • Highly organised and efficient, with the ability to run number of programs and projects simultaneously and handle multiple tasks with competing priorities
  • Proficient in English and other languages are an added advantage
