Indirect Procurement Senior Manager

Job Summary

Summary/Job purpose:

  1. Lead, coach and develop the Indirect Material and Services Procurement team across the various Thailand entities.
  2. Deploy best practices across the sub-domains of spend analytics, category management, strategic sourcing, tail spend management and procurement operations,
  3. Initiate and drive strategic sourcing and procurement operations efficiency programs with the objective to deliver financial benefits and increase the added value delivered by the Indirect Procurement organization.
  4. Drive regional indirect procurement processes and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership
    • Foster open communications and an inspiring team environment.

  •  Sourcing
    • Develop and execute sourcing strategies and identify cost savings opportunities in line with indirectprocurement OGSM and OB/MBP.
    • Establish the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities including industry/supplieranalysis, RFX, bid evaluation, negotiations, supplier performance evaluation, SRM program, supply basedesign and consolidation.
  • Procurement operations
    • Lead the indirect procurement team to rationalize procurement operations, increase spend coverage ofthe procurement organization and increase year-on-year savings.
    • Work with business and finance stakeholders to identify, drive and track cost savings, other valuecreations and improvements on control and compliance.
    • Prepare and hold reviews and updates with internal users/customers/stakeholders for business caseinitiatives, opportunities and risks, project progress, results vs. expectations and vendor performance.
    • Provide necessary training and guidance to internal users and stakeholders on procurement policies andwork processes.
    • Establish procurement process standards and drive compliance across the organization.
    • Drive continuous improvement activities aimed at improving process maturity, increasing coverage anddrive organizational compliance.
  • Project initiation and management
    • Identify and initiate sourcing projects across indirect categories by leveraging spend analysis, marketIntelligence, interacting with regional CO, and internal requirements through engagement with internalcustomers and stakeholders.
    • Lead and delivery projects with the best outcome for the business by collaborating with external suppliers, internal users, stakeholders and on-site procurement teams.
    • Support regional procurement initiatives as and when requested by the Regional Lead for Indirect Procurement.

Requirements

  • Degree holder, with over 10 years in-depth strategic sourcing, procurement experience and practices (e.g. category management, spend analytics and benchmarking, should-cost models, FX, negotiation and contracting), preferably in an indirect procurement function for both corporate and supply chain related spends at a multinational corporation environment.
  • At least 7 years' experience in a managerial position.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, organization skills and analytical abilities. Collaborative and influencing style when working with the team.
  • Expertise in strategic sourcing with demonstrated leadership abilities on project management and change management.
  • Able to communicate and engage internal users, stakeholders and external suppliers effectively; Able to identify, sell and present initiatives and new ideas through business case development and reviews
  • Result-oriented with proven ability to deliver results in a challenging environment.
  • High proficiency in relationship management for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Thai.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methods like Lean Six Sigma.
  • Self-driven and motivated individual.
  • Proactive thinker.
