Job Summary

This is an integral role within our NZ senior management team that will require you to spearhead the overall marketing strategy and execution for Bridgestone and Tony’s Tyres products, services and brands within the New Zealand market. As well as leading and directing a small marketing team, your collaboration across the wider ANZ region will be crucial to the success of the role and supporting the business to achieve their wider company goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting and Budgeting: you will be responsible for comprehensive budget management, regular reporting on marketing activities and detailed analysis of competitor pricing and marketing strategies
  • General Marketing and Relationship Management: management of external agencies and sponsorship relationships, preparation and implementation of long-term marketing plans, representation of the Bridgestone brand to external organisations and strong collaboration with the Australian marketing team to support ANZ initiatives
  • Promotional Activities: development and application of promotional strategies across retail and wholesale marketing campaigns, store opening and consumer and commercial tradeshows, management of web-based platforms, oversee social media activity and content, creation and distribution of sales materials and merchandise, direct and oversee internal and external product launch campaigns
  • Internal Activities: development and maintenance of retail standards and operations manual content, oversee customer experience Awards program and internal projects, including regular reporting on these initiatives  

Requirements

To be successful you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing, or related field
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, with broad marketing discipline and knowledge
  • Demonstrated brand management and digital marketing expertise
  • To be a spirited people leader who is capable of inspiring those around you
  • Extensive experience within the retail/service industry, with a solid understanding of the dynamics and challenges that come with this environment
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Effective stakeholder management and engagement skills
