About the role

An exciting opportunity exists to join our team at our Eastwood National Office as the Risk and Compliance Manager across Australia and New Zealand. This position drives the ongoing development, management and reporting of organisational wide risk and compliance to promote and drive a strong business governance and control culture which supports our risk and compliance obligations. This is a role that offers flexibility and the ability to redefine risk within a multifaceted organisation.

About you

Tertiary qualified in policy, business, or a commerce focused discipline, you will be able to demonstrate previous experience in developing, maintaining and supporting organisational wide risk management frameworks and compliance programs, including insurance portfolio management. The dynamic nature of our business means you will have solid experience in organisational wide strategic and operational risk / compliance within complex organisations and be able to conduct detailed risk and control assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation and improvements.

Your sound planning, analytical and organisational skills will drive your success in the role, and your excellent engagement and communication skills will be at a premium and allow you to successfully manage sensitive and complex issues involving multiple stakeholders and agendas.

  • Ability to work with key stakeholders within multiple group companies and counties to elicit, analyse, communicate, validate and manage strategic and operational risks, business processes, policies, information and data
  • Effective relationship management and the ability to quickly build rapport and engage with key stakeholders
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated business knowledge and a true partnership approach to resolving issues, focusing on key benefits to all parties
  • Ability to translate risk and compliance issues into business / customer focused solutions
  • Previous experience managing group insurance portfolios and related processes
