About the role

Bridgestone Australia Ltd. is seeking a proactive and self-motivated Finance Analyst to join our dynamic financial team, located at Eastwood, South Australia.

Reporting to the Financial Reporting and Taxation Manager, this role offers a unique opportunity to provide analytical support and technical financial reporting in finance and taxation across Australia and New Zealand.  

Role responsibilities

• Preparation, assistance and lodgement of annual FBT returns (Australia) and providing support for quarterly FBT returns (New Zealand).
• Preparation and lodgement of monthly GST returns (Australia).
• Providing assistance to the GST review project (Australia) using specialist software.
• Supporting company taxation returns and tax effect accounting for both Australian and New Zealand entities.
• Assist with the preparation of Consolidated Year End Financial Statements.
• Assistance and liaison for quarterly and Year End Audit queries with external auditors.
• Engaging in projects with the financial team to support technical financial reporting across the Group.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders, which is critical to this role.
• Supporting Bridgestone’s vision for ‘Perfect Safety’ and sustainability commitments.

About you

Your business and financial acumen, along with your outstanding analytical skills will ensure your success in this position.  You have a high level of integrity, respect for others, persistence and passion for success. You are also:

• Tertiary qualified in Accounting or Commerce (or studying towards).
• Independent and self-motivated with a high amount of initiative.
• A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
• Able to demonstrate your understanding of business requests and ability to develop financial analysis models.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
