About the role:
Bridgestone Australia Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our financial team, located at Eastwood, South Australia.
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, this role is responsible for conducting finance and financial administration for the National property division, providing outstanding customer service.
Role Responsibilities
- Monthly calculations of IFRS16 (Right of Use).
- Preparing IFRS16 leasing related schedules, budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensuring accurate data entry and maintenance in the property system (Progen) and reconciling Progen outputs to SAP.
- Managing and managing incoming invoices for rent and on-costs.
- Working with the credit team in regard to queries and outstanding payments.
- Reconciling and processing audited outgoings reconciliations and outgoings budgets.
- Maintaining the Property Rent Invoice register.
- Ensuring sub-lease rent charges are in line with lease agreements and on-charged accurately.
- Ensuring payment of the Company’s rental obligations for leased property.
- Calculating and reviewing property status, gains and losses, including reconciling the Company’s property portfolio and reconciling any rental subsidies.
- Assisting the Finance Business Partner and engaging in projects.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders.
- Supporting Bridgestone’s vision for ‘Perfect Safety’ and sustainability commitments.
About you
Your experience in financial administration in a similar sized, along with the following attributes will ensure your success in this position:
- Completion or part completion of an accounting qualification or equivalent experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable or property administration.
- Experience in IFRS16 accounting will be highly regarded.
- High level PC skills using the Microsoft suite of products.
- Experience with Power BI or similar data analysis & visualisation tools would be advantageous.
- Experience using an ERP, for example SAP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A high level attention to detail.
- Sound planning and organisational skills.
- Proficient level of literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
