About the role

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will support the Accounts Payable Relationship Officer by ensuring the accurate and timely payment of vendor accounts. You will be the key contact for accounts payable matters related to the Lube Mobile business unit and queries from the Regional Shared Services Centre (RSSC). This role requires you to process invoices, manage queries and provide essential backup for overseas transactions and treasury functions.

Role responsibities

  • Accounts payable key contact for internal and external customers in relation to the Lube Mobile business unit.
  • Resolving queries and escalations.
  • Providing backup support in processing overseas invoices, ensuring foreign exchange (FX) rates are correct according to Treasury advice and scheduling and making payments of overseas invoices.
  • Adherence to, and understanding of, the Bridgestone Australia Groups’ authority schedule and relevant company policies and procedures.
  • Providing support to the Accounts Payable Relationship Officer in complex invoicing, GRIR follow up and queries.
  • Supporting the treasury team with transactions and special projects as required.

About you

  • Strong trouble shooting skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience in reconciliations is essential.
  • A demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and adhere to deadlines.
  • Sound oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products and accounts payable software.
  • Experience with SAP (desirable).
