Sales Manager

The purpose of this position is to deploy plan of replacement market sales for Consumer Tire. This includes planning of sales initiatives, and directly leading and managing the implementation of sales strategies and initiatives to meet the company targets regarding growth and profitability.

Job Summary




Local contract terms only


  • Establish business plan and sales plan that identifies and prioritizes opportunities to drive market share and revenue growth, including developing monthly sales promotion program etc.
  • Lead, develop and guide the local markets to achieve business target through the most efficient Sales/ field force management, including the sales force administration phases (Sales force design and resource allocation, territory design, sales target/ call plan setting, performance evaluation and monitoring etc.)
  • Ensure internal “customer first” focus within the team. Increase the focus on sales according to group targets, both for customers and end-consumers.
  • Sales forecast and planning accuracy
  • Actual sales results meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • Manage, develop, and expand our dealer network in a profitable manner by ensuring the right customer, market and product mixes.
  • Expansion of dealer network and retail operations.
  • Enhancing sales growing in all channel (Car dealer, Mass Merchandiser, Fleet, Family Channel as retail etc.) by reviewing sales initiatives and developing countermeasures.
  • Monitor industry trends, market potentials, competitive intelligence, and provide feedback to teams.
  • Work closely together with marketing team to ensure the marketing activities according to business needs.
  • Work with Logistics to ensure the optimal inventory levels, adequate customer support, and Group cash flow targets.
  • Work with Finance to ensure timely payment of Accounts Receivables from our Customers
  • Lead, Coach and develop the Sales Representatives.


Global/ Region/ Local Initiatives

  • Participate in Global / Region Sales & Marketing conferences, and special projects, where required
  • Liaise, coordinate and collaborate with other market based group entities where applicable.

  • Educational background: Bachelor’s Degree or above in Business Management, Marketing, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Working Experience: Minimum of 8 years with retail related field experience and 5 years as management role, automotive related field is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen in automotive industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer focused and team oriented.
  • Language proficiency: English and Mandarin are mandatory (other language(s) are added advantage)


Skills/Personal Profile

  • Good understanding and experience in dealing with the different customer channels, product mix and multiple brands.
  • Experience working with a dealer/distributor network is needed and from tool industry or similar is a plus.
  • Market experience / understanding of the different routes to market and the value of different sales channels.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and process great cultural sensitives with the ability to influence key stakeholders
  • High level of integrity, respect for others, persistence, and passion for success
  • Ability and experience to lead and coach a team.
